Shipping is non-refundable on all Homestead Living orders. Please be sure that your shipping address is correct when you submit your order.
If there is an error in your shipping address, please notify us immediately at hello@homesteadliving.com. Our warehouse ships orders as quickly as possible, so while we cannot guarantee that we can update a shipping address, we will do our best.
No Alterations to an Order After Shipping
Once an order has shipped, it will not be stopped, intercepted, or altered in any way. Please ensure that you have entered the correct mailing address and the correct quantity of products before completing your order.

Refund Policy for Homestead Living Print and Digital Annual Subscriptions and Lifetime Subscription
Thank you for choosing Homestead Living’s annual or lifetime print or digital subscription. We strive to provide you with high-quality service and ensure your satisfaction. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions governing refunds for our annual and lifetime Homestead Living subscriptions, including the initial purchase and subsequent renewals (annual only). Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.
Initial Purchase Refunds
1.1. Full Refund within 90 Days: If you are not completely satisfied with your annual or lifetime magazine subscription, you are eligible for a full refund of the purchase price within 90 days from the date of your initial purchase. To request a refund, please contact our customer success team at hello@homesteadliving.com. We may require proof of purchase for verification purposes.
1.2. Refund Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for a refund on your initial subscription purchase, the following conditions must be met:
a) The refund request is made within 90 days of the initial purchase.
b) The subscription has not been previously canceled and refunded.
c) You have not violated our Terms of Service or engaged in any fraudulent activities.
1.3. Refund Processing: Once your refund request is approved, we will process the refund within a reasonable timeframe. The refund will be issued using the original payment method used for the purchase. Please note that, depending on your financial institution, it may take 3-5 business days (and can take up to 10 business days) for the refunded amount to be reflected in your account.
1.4 Print Delivery Cancellation Requests: If you are not satisfied with your magazine, you may cancel the delivery of your magazine at any time.* Reminder: you are only eligible for a refund within the first 90 days of purchasing your annual or lifetime subscription. Please submit your delivery cancellation request via email to hello@homesteadliving.com.
*Please note that due to our production timeline, you may still receive a print issue of the magazine even after you cancel your subscription.
1.5 Undelivered Magazines for Annual Subscription: Undelivered or Damaged Magazines for Annual Subscription: If your print issue experiences one of the following issues, we will extend the renewal date of your subscription to account for the non-delivered or damaged print issue:
- Print issue is mailed to the address provided on your order form or as updated on your subscription account, and the address is incorrect
- Print issue is mailed to the correct address but your issue gets lost in the United States Postal Service mail
- Print issue is damaged in shipping
Please email us at hello@homesteadliving.com to confirm the address we have on file and to request a subscription extension.
If an issue on our end prevented us from mailing your print issue, we will send you a replacement issue free of charge. Please email us at hello@homesteadliving.com to request a replacement copy.
Note: If the address provided for your subscription has been marked as undeliverable by the United States Postal Service, we will work with you to update your address as best we can. However, we cannot make changes to the USPS address system.

Subscription Renewal Refunds (Annual Subscriptions Only)
2.1. Automatic Renewal: The annual subscription for Homestead Living’s monthly subscription service will automatically renew for another year (12 months) unless you choose to cancel it.
2.2. Cancellation within 14 Days: After the subscription renews, you have a 14-day grace period to request a cancellation and receive a refund. To initiate the cancellation process, please contact our customer success team at hello@homesteadliving.com. The refund will be processed according to the terms mentioned in section 1.3.
2.3. Refund Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for a renewal refund, the following conditions must be met:
a) The cancellation request is made within 14 days of the renewal date.
b) The subscription has not been previously canceled and refunded.
c) You have not violated our Terms of Service or engaged in any fraudulent activities.
2.4. No Pro-rata Refunds: We do not offer pro-rata refunds for the unused portion of your annual subscription after the 14-day grace period has elapsed. Once the grace period expires, you will continue to have access to the subscription until the end of the renewed subscription term.
Subscription Duration and Pro-rata Refunds (Lifetime Subscriptions Only)
3.1. No Additional Charges: The lifetime subscription will be active with no further charges until you decide to end the subscription (which could be voluntary or involuntary) or in the unlikely instance that our company is no longer able to offer the subscription.
3.1. No Pro-rata Refunds: We do not offer pro-rata refunds for the unused portion of your lifetime subscription once you are past the 90-day return window following the initial purchase.

We want our customers to be completely satisfied with your Homestead Living print products. If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your publication to request a refund or a replacement copy.
Refunds will be issued for the cost of your print product minus any shipping and handling fees that have already been incurred. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving your request.

Damaged and Defective Policy for Homestead Living Print Products
We take great care to ensure that our print products are of the highest quality, but sometimes issues can be damaged or defective during printing, packaging, or shipping. If you receive a damaged or defective issue of a print product (Collector’s Edition 001 – Foundations, Collector’s Edition 002 – Abundance, Collector’s Edition 003 – Generational Wisdom, Collector’s Edition 004 – Stewardship, the Homesteading Guide, Plated by Season, a calendar, or a tote), please contact us within 14 days of receipt to request a replacement.
Definition of “Damaged and Defective”
For the purposes of this policy, “damaged and defective” refers to issues of Homestead Living print products that are:
- Missing pages or have pages that are torn, creased, or otherwise damaged to the extent that they are unreadable or unusable.
- Printed with severe misalignments, ink smudges, or other defects that render the item unreadable or unusable.
Please note that minor imperfections, such as small creases or ink smudges that do not affect the readability or usability of the item, do not qualify as “damaged and defective” under this policy.
To request a replacement issue, please contact our customer service department at hello@homesteadliving.com and attach at least one (1) image of the damage to your product. Please also include a description of the damage. We will be happy to assist you with your request, and we will reply within two business days with our decision to either refund or replace your product.

BOOKS
Refund Policy for Homestead Living Books (Everything Worth Preserving, Freeze-Drying the Harvest, Daily Sourdough, Cheese From Scratch, The Beekeeper’s Apothecary, Gardening With Chickens)
At Homestead Living, we strive to provide you with high quality books that meet your expectations. However, we understand that there may be instances where you need to return a book. This Return Policy outlines the terms and conditions for returning a book purchased from our company.
Return Eligibility:
1.1 Books must be returned within two weeks (14 days) from the date of purchase or delivery, whichever is later.
1.2 Books must be in their original condition, unused, and undamaged.
1.3 Proof of purchase, such as the original receipt or order confirmation, is required for all returns.
1.4 Books that were damaged during transit or have manufacturing defects are eligible for return.
Reasons for Return:
2.1 Change of Mind: If you change your mind about a book, you may return it within the two-week (14 day) return window provided it meets the eligibility criteria mentioned in section 1.
2.2 Damaged or Defective Books: If you receive a book that is damaged during transit or has manufacturing defects, we will gladly provide you with a replacement copy free of charge or a full refund, as per your preference.
2.3 Incorrect Book Received: If you receive a book that is different from the one you ordered, we will arrange for its return and either provide you with the correct book or issue a full refund, depending on your preference.
2.4 Incomplete Order: If your order is missing a book or contains an incomplete set, please contact our customer success within two weeks (14 days) of delivery, and we will rectify the issue promptly.
NOTE: We take great care in the preparation, editing, formatting, and publication of our books to ensure the information presented is correct and easy to read. However, publishing is a human process, and minor errors can occasionally find their way into the final product. These types of errors are a normal part of the publishing process and do not affect the overall value and usability of the book. As such, we are always happy to provide updated information via email, but our refund policy is for situations as outlined in sections 2.1 – 2.4.
Return Process:
3.1 Contact Customer Success: To initiate a return, please contact our customer success team at hello@homesteadliving.com. Provide them with your order details and the reason for the return.
3.2 Return Authorization: Our customer success team will guide you through the return authorization process. They may request additional information or evidence to validate your return request, especially in cases of damaged books or incorrect shipments.
3.3 Packaging: Ensure that the book is securely packaged to prevent any further damage during transit. We recommend using the original packaging if possible.
3.4 Return Shipping: You will be responsible for the shipping costs associated with returning the book, except in cases where the return is due to an error on our part (e.g., incorrect book received, damaged during transit).
3.5 Refund or Replacement: Once we receive the returned book and verify its eligibility, we will process your refund or arrange for a replacement, depending on the reason for return and your preference. Refunds will be issued using the original payment method. Please note that, depending on your financial institution, it may take 3-5 business days (and can take up to 10 business days) for the refunded amount to be reflected in your account.
NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS: E-BOOKS, DIGITAL DOWNLOADS, THE OLD-FASHIONED ON PURPOSE PLANNER
4.1 E-books, digital downloads, and The Old-Fashioned on Purpose Planners (print and digital) are non-returnable.
4.2 Books that have been marked, personalized, or customized specifically for you cannot be returned unless they are damaged or defective.
4.3 Products that are available in both digital and print format may be upgraded from digital to print if the digital copy was purchased in error. To request an upgrade, please contact our customer success department at hello@homesteadliving.com. You will be required to pay the cost difference between the digital and print editions along with shipping charges. Once the upgrade has been completed, you will no longer have access to the digital copy.
Exclusions:
This Return Policy applies only to books and planners purchased directly from Homestead Living. It does not cover books or planners purchased from third-party sellers or retailers, including Amazon. Please refer to their respective return policies for further information.
